Laurence grew up in South Florida and joined ZBT in 1998 at the Alpha Zeta (Florida) Chapter. Prior to becoming Executive Director of ZBT he served as the Executive Vice-President for the United States Junior Chamber of Commerce in addition to prior roles at ZBT including Associate Executive Director and Director of Chapter Affairs.
Laurence's passion for ZBT dates back to his experience in his undergraduate chapter and life-changing opportunities that came along with it. His leadership experience at Florida inspired him to pursue a graduate degree with a focus in student affairs and higher education administration.
Prior to coming to work for ZBT in 2005 he spent time working at The University of Texas and California State University – San Marcos. When not working hard, Laurence tries to enjoy all of the amenities that Indianapolis has to offer along with exploring more of the world outside of the United States.

Libby is a member of the Alpha Epsilon Phi sorority where she serves as National Vice President of Programming, a lead facilitator for programs of the North-American Interfraternity Conference (NIC), member of the Fraternity and Sorority Assessment Coalition Project, a member and volunteers for both the Fraternity Executives Association and the Association of Fraternity/Sorority Advisors.
Additionally, Libby has been awarded the Jack L. Anson Award for Interfraternity Excellence from Phi Kappa Tau Fraternity and the Distinguished Service Award from the Association of Fraternity and Sorority Advisors. Libby is a graduate of the University of Missouri with a Bachelor of Educational Studies in Family and Consumer Science Education and Indiana State University with a Master of Science degree in Student Affairs Administration.
In her spare time, Libby likes to travel, cook and go to the theatre.

Shelley Laflin Director of Finance

Shelley was born and raised in Canada and has recently relocated to Indiana in 2011. Shelley graduated from Accounting and went on to receive her 4th Level Certified General Accountant. Prior to becoming Director of Finance at ZBT, Shelley had served as an Accountant and Assistant Controller in Canada for 20 years. Shelley is excited to bring her experience and effectively apply it to the continued growth of ZBT.
When not working at ZBT, she enjoys volunteering and training for Triathlons. Shelley has completed 10 Ironman competitions including the World Championships in Hawaii. Shelley has two grown sons.

Patsy has been on the ZBT staff since the National Office moved to Indianapolis in 1995. She has enjoyed working for ZBT – especially talking to all the alumni and undergraduates. Patsy was born in Mexico, but was raised in the States since she was nine months old, and has lived in Indiana most her life.
She has two daughters, both attending Michigan State University. Patsy graduated from Ricks College (now known as BYU-Idaho) with a degree in office education. In her spare time she loves to read, do crafts, watch movies, but most of all she loves to hang out with her kids.

Courtney was born in Pennsylvania and raised in Columbus, IN. She attended Purdue University and became a member of Delta Gamma Fraternity. Prior to ZBT, she was a Communications and Marketing intern for Purdue University. Soon after graduation, Courtney joined the ZBT staff and that’s where she has been ever since. In her spare time she likes to horseback ride, hike, volunteer, and spend time with her family.

Laura was raised in Martinsville, Indiana. She attended Purdue University and became a member of Sigma Delta Tau sorority where she held positions of Vice President, Ritualist, Social, and Panhellenic Delegate. After graduation, she completed a Master's degree at Ball State and worked with the Excellence in Leadership program. She resides in Westfield, IN with her husband, dog Mimi, and cat Eli. In her spare time she enjoys spending time with her family, boating at Dale Hollow Lake, and reading.

Shannon grew up in Southern California and attended the University of Massachusetts Amherst. While at UMass she earned a Bachelor of Arts in History and joined Alpha Epsilon Phi sorority. After graduation she worked for Alpha Epsilon Phi for two years as a Traveling Educational Consultant. She then attended the University of Michigan where she worked in the Office of Greek Life, lived in a sorority house as a chapter advisor and earned a Master of Arts in Higher Education. In her spare time Shannon volunteers for her sorority and enjoys traveling, cooking, reading and spending time with family.

Brother Fox grew up in Boulder, CO. He was initiated into the Beta Alpha Theta Chapter of ZBT at the University of Colorado in 2005. Brother Fox served as Philanthropy Chairman, Recruitment Chairman, Ritual Chairman, and President for two terms and was an Undergraduate Supreme Council Member from 2006-2008. During his Presidency he established a new brotherhood program, Judicial board, and helped the chapter double in size. Brother Fox was also an intern for the International office in 2008 and the Director of Alumni & Parent Relations from 2010-2011.

Alexa was born in New York, NY, and was raised in Greensboro, NC. She graduated with honors from The George Washington University in 2012 where she majored in International Affairs with a concentration in Middle East Studies, and double minored in Criminal Justice and Judaic Studies. Alexa was initiated as a member of the Phi Alpha Delta Pre-Law Fraternity in 2008. While at GW, she interned at the Embassy of Israel in the Office of the Ambassador, as well as with the Department of Public Diplomacy. She also taught at a Sunday Hebrew School for four years. Alexa plans to develop a career in international politics.
In her spare time, Alexa likes to play soccer, enjoy musical theatre, and travel.

David is a native of New York that was raised in Livingston, New Jersey and attended the University of Hartford. There he received a bachelor's degree in Media Communications and minored in Education. As a brother of the Gamma Lambda Chapter he held numerous chairman positions including treasurer, secretary, and special events director. David was also very active in Hillel as an intern working in programming and alumni communications. David also worked with children of all ages at JCC Metrowest after-school programs and its summer camp, Deeny Riback for the last 8 years; he hopes to one day own his own Jewish summer camp.

Brother Monroy was born and raised in southern California. He majored in Communication Studies at California State University Long Beach where he became a Founding Father of the Beta Pi chapter. As a brother of the Beta Pi chapter Dustin served as President, Vice-President, Social Chair, and Provost. During his Presidency the Beta Pi chapter received its charter, moved into its first house, and held its first major philanthropy event “Get on the Ball”. Dustin has a passion for sports and plans on working in sports management in the future.

Brother Edwards was born and raised in Aurora, Colorado. He joined the Beta Alpha Theta chapter of ZBT at the University of Colorado in Fall of 2008. Shortly after being initiated Adam became the Recruitment Chairman, he later went on to serve as Secretary and President. Outside of ZBT Adam worked at Level 3 communications for two years, and spent time as a research assistant on campus. Adam plans to someday attend graduate school in pursuit of a career in marketing research.

Linda grew up in Omaha, Nebraska and obtained a BS in Education from the University of Nebraska. She is a member of Alpha Epsilon Phi and the proud mother of two grown daughters who both became very active members of SDT. She moved to Indianapolis when her husband, then AEPi Executive Director, opened the National Headquarters in the College Park Area.
Professionally, she has worked with high school and college students both as a teacher and youth advisor. Her passion for volunteerism earned her a Presidential Volunteer Service Award for lifetime achievement during the administration of President George W. Bush.
In her spare time, she enjoys reading, cooking and skyping with her granddaughter.

Faron grew up on Long Island and moved to Atlanta, GA between his sophomore and junior year of high school. He attended the University of Alabama and was initiated into the Psi Chapter of ZBT in 1993. Faron joined the Fraternity's professional staff in March of 1998. Prior to becoming Executive Director of the Zeta Beta Tau Foundation, he served Zeta Beta Tau Fraternity in many roles including Expansion Consultant, Director of Chapter Affairs and most recently as Director of Operations.
Faron's love of ZBT began while he was an undergraduate and served as an officer of his Chapter. Psi Chapter celebrated its 80th Anniversary while Faron was in school. Serving as Chairman of the event, Faron had the opportunity to work with alumni of the Chapter and the National Fraternity to put together a wonderful weekend of Brotherhood. Faron also served as an undergraduate member of the Supreme Council. This opportunity provided insight into the operations of the National Fraternity and helped form friendships that will last him a lifetime.
When not working, Faron enjoys spending time with his family (especially nieces Lexi and Abby), working around his house, traveling and volunteering.

James P. (Jim) Summers Director of Development

Jim is a native son of West Virginia and graduated from Marshall University (Huntington, WV) in 1970. He was initiated into the Gamma Epsilon Chapter of ZBT in 1966 and later held several leadership positions, including Pledge Father, Secretary and President, and attended three National Conventions and Leadership Schools and one Regional Conclave. Jim was active in Marshall campus life as a two-year member of the Thundering Herd baseball team and later as a student volunteer in the Department of Athletics; he also was Marco, Marshall’s buffalo student mascot, during his final semester. Jim was recognized as a campus leader with his selection to membership in Omicron Delta Kappa, the Order of Omega and The Robe and was named to Who’s Who Among Students in American Universities and Colleges. Jim first joined the Fraternity’s professional staff in June-1970 and served two years – Field Secretary (1970-71) and Director of Chapter Affairs – West (1971-72), during which time he visited fifty-one chapters and colonies. Jim followed his National Staff experience by earning a graduate degree in Higher Education Administration from the University of Southern California (1974). During his first year of graduate school, Jim served as the Graduate Resident Advisor for the USC chapter of Tau Epsilon Phi Fraternity. Utilizing his ZBT National experience, his education in student affairs and his passion for Fraternity life, Jim then accepted the position of Advisor to Fraternities at the University Georgia (1974-76). Jim served on the ZBT National Leadership School faculty in 1974 and 1975.
Following a just-concluded successful thirty-five year sales and marketing career in the Information Technology industry, Jim has returned to ZBT as the Annual Fund Director for the Foundation. Jim and wife Lynda (Sigma Kappa – Marshall ’72) live in Snellville, GA, and have two adult daughters, Tara (Loganville, GA) and Jessica (Macon, GA) and one grand-daughter, Summerlyn (Loganville, GA). Jim and Lynda are very active members of the Marshall University Alumni Association, Big Green Scholarship Foundation and Marshall Atlanta Herd Club. Lynda is very active in the Atlanta Sigma Kappa Alumnae Club, and Jim is active in the USC Alumni Club of Atlanta, ZBT Gamma Epsilon Alumni Chapter and ZBT Atlanta Alumni Club. Jim is very passionate about his family and friends, Marshall University and Zeta Beta Tau. When not working, Jim enjoys spending time with family and friends, attending Marshall and USC alumni and athletic events and Georgia Tech football and baseball games and relaxing at the beach or in the North Georgia mountains.

Neil was born and raised in Brooklyn, New York. He moved with his family to Los Angeles and after high school attended the University of Southern California. Brother Sobel was initiated into the Alpha Delta Chapter and went on to hold several leadership roles within the chapter, including rush (recruitment) chairman and president. He received his bachelor’s degree in political science.
“I am excited about being part of the Zeta Beta Tau Foundation and welcome the challenges and opportunities it will present,” said Sobel. Neil is a founding partner in Alpha Futures, a brokerage firm in Santa Monica, CA. He has two adult sons (David and Brian) and six grandchildren.
